ADVANCED.1, formerly Advanced Cable Services, originated in 1985 as a field walkout and manual drafting company with the goal of producing precise and accurate system maps. Quickly developing a close relationship with its clients, Advanced prospered. In the early days it would have been easy to abort our commitment to quality and grow in an uncontrolled fashion. We are proud to say, however; quality remains the cornerstone of our business to this day. In 1986 computer aided drafting was the buzz of the industry and Advanced found itself investing in computers and software. Although a major investment for a small company, Advanced met the challenge not with just one software offering but several. This not only allowed Advanced to work for multiple clients on different CADD platforms but also insured Advanced did not try to influence our customers into using one particular software. Today, Advanced utilizes all leading telecommunications software, allowing our clients to choose the software which best meets their needs and intents. By 1990
Advanced offered electronic design and could provide an array of professional
services that were most In 1996 the Texas Department of Economic Development awarded Advanced Cable Services a grant to build a new 12,000 square foot facility under the condition that the company hire and train an additional 25 employees over the next 3 years. Exceeding the grant requirements, we moved into our new facility in 1999, which serves as our corporate headquarters today. In 2000, Advanced reached a major milestone when we hired our 100th employee. Today, almost 20 years later, Advanced emerges with a new name, ADVANCED.1. With the pride of workmanship that has been our cornerstone, ADVANCED.1 continues to look for opportunities to better serve our clients’ needs and develop the additional services that have hallmarked our growth. We offer an experienced team of telecommunications experts providing geospatial development, field engineering, CADD digitization, design, fiber documentation, onsite support, commercial serviceability audits, project management, and marketing tools for all facets of the telecommunications industry -- and the list continues to grow.
