Salli Smith serves as the Senior Vice President of Technical Operations for ADVANCED 1. Her Civil Engineering degree and experience gives her a unique perspective on the importance of delivering an accurate, quality product. After joining us over 20 years ago as a drafter, Salli's exemplary skills quickly lifted her to management level. Using her expertise and experience, Salli leads a CADD group that creates a superior product, delivered on time. Darla Burke as Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer utilizes her management experience and skills to provide technical and procedural expertise to the administrative, information services and human resource groups of ADVANCED 1. In 2001, we unveiled a sophisticated project tracking software, designed for project management application and resource scheduling. Darla quickly mastered and customized Artemis™, to serve the multifaceted needs of ADVANCED 1. Darla's analytical and logical talents have given her the ability to develop and maintain technical expertise in company automation systems. These, and her people centered passion she brings to the HR capacity, make Darla a valuable asset to our success. |

Brian has a unique blend of experience with both MSO's and as a contractor allowing him the valuable insight needed to understand the clients objectives in all daily aspects of the telecommunications pre-construction engineering processes. |

Scott Hastings directs the Sales and Account Management Group with a focus on long term relationships and based on exceeding client expectations. Previously the Director of our Field Group, Scott draws on his 13 years of experience of working closely with our clients on the successful completion of projects of all scales. Scott began his career as an on site Project Manager for large upgrade projects before joining our team in the home office. Scott's emphasis on commitment, accountability and open communications has helped further the ADVANCED 1 reputation as the premier telecommunications engineering firm in the industry. |

Gerald Hernandez directs our GIS & Research and Development Group, with experience spanning 18 years in the telecommunications industry and 22 years in software development and R&D experience. Prior to joining ADVANCED 1 in 2005, he owned Geospatial Paradigm Solutions who was a premier provider of advanced technologies support for CATV and other utility industries, Gerald started his GIS career in the position of VP of R&D for Tridex Systems where he helped propel the company from a fledgling startup to ranking in the top 25 consulting firms in Colorado. Prior to Tridex, Gerald held the position of Computer Operations Supervisor for Time Warner Cable at the corporate office providing research, software development and support for the Construction Division Design Group. He graduated as Valedictorian from Denver Institute of Technology with majors in computer interfacing and programming and minors in lasers, robotics, and physics. |
